What you will do in your working day

Your duties will include:

  • Administrating Office 365
  • Cloud based VOIP telephony system administration (Ring Central)
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Communicate clearly with staff, either face-to-face, over the telephone or via email to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshooting system problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and escalating where necessary
  • Replacing parts as required
  • Providing support, including producing and following internal documentation
  • Supporting the roll-out of new projects
  • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
  • Ensuring all IT equipment is presented well and IT areas are kept clear and tidy
  • Taking ownership of issues (or escalation internally or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Use the service desk to raise tickets, issues and manage priority and business expectations
  • Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with end users, suppliers and third party providers

  • Training will be delivered both in College and in the workplace
