We are looking for an apprentice field service engineer to carry out reactive breakdown and routine maintenance of vehicle washing equipment, to include vehicle wash, jet wash, air/water tower, vacuums etc. This will be a remote role that will require travel between various different sites across the north west of England.

What you will do in your working day

  • Breakdown and servicing of Wilcomatic automatic vehicle wash and static jet washes
  • Shadowing an experience field engineer to understand more about how vehcile and jet washes are repaired and maintained.
  • Provide reports and details of work carried out across the sites.

The training you will be getting

  • Apprenticeship Standard: Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (Electrical)
  • In-field training with an experienced engineer and day release at Wigan & Leigh College at their Pagefield Campus.

Things to consider

Candidates must be aged 18 or over. Please note that this is a remote position, the address on the vacancy is for the College as Wilcomatic do not have an office in the area - the apprentice will be required to work across the north west and as such applicants need to have a driving license and have held it for 12 months as there is a vehicle provided.
