What you will do in your working day
Year 1:
- A full overview of all vehicle systems, including Health and Safety, tools and equipment, inspections, wheels and tyres, braking principles, steering and suspension, engines, electrical principles, air and fuel, cooling and lubrication, and transmission and drivelines
Year 2:
- A deeper, more focused learning of electrical systems, body electrics, transmission and drivelines, and being able to remove an replace components
Year 3:
- Advanced body and electrical diagnostics, engine diagnostics, chassis diagnostics, transmission diagnostics, vehicle and component inspections, diagnosing and repairing components
The training you will be getting
- Working towards Bus and Coach Engineering Technician Standard
- Colleges in Glasgow or Wolverhampton
- Fully paid for block release
