The palace is named after this pivotal battle, which took place during the War of the Spanish Succession. It was constructed between 1705 and 1722 and is one of England’s largest houses. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. One of the unique features of Blenheim Palace is that it is still a Family Home . It is also more famously known as the birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill, the renowned British statesman. The palace is set in 2000 acres of land, some of which was designed by the famous landscape architect ‘Capability’ Brown.
