What you will do in your working day

You will receive training and be required to:

  • Ensure all inbound calls are answered promptly, consistently within 3 rings
  • Deal with customer orders and queries via the telephone and email ensuring first call/query resolution at every given opportunity
  • Ensure that customer orders are keyed in an accurate and timely manner to ensure warehouse pick time is maximized, whilst meeting customers’ expectations
  • Monitor progress of orders as required to ensure that customer expectations are met
  • Manage inbound customer queries and complaints
  • Coordinate any customer issues with relevant Sales Manager
  • Advise on any service issues in a proactive manner
  • Liaise with warehouse operations as required for stock and customer order progress updates
  • Act as a key point of contact on named accounts/secondary cover for holiday and sickness on named accounts
  • Ensure that complaints/errors are kept to a minimum
  • Maintain GDPR compliance
  • Respond to customer contact regardless of which channel or department and ensure they receive a courteous and professional service
  • Work with other stakeholder teams such as the Warehouse to deliver consistently high performance

The training you will be getting

This programme, other than the requirement of some college attendance to support the end point assessment process, will be primarily focused on your workplace training and learning.

  • Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be taken on as a full employee dependant on your performance.
