What you will do in your working day

The role will assist with the day to day events activities including:

Event Support:

  • Provide general support for event logistics and operations.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Aid in the coordination of stand designs, plans, and documentation.

Attendee Management:

  • Assist in managing attendee registrations and accommodations.
  • Support the coordination of event bookings and submissions.
  • Help maintain attendee databases and communication channels.

Promotion and Marketing:

  • Collaborate on promotional efforts including press releases and website updates.
  • Assist in creating content for social media and other marketing channels.
  • Aid in the preparation of materials for event promotion and branding.

Logistics and Supplies:

  • Assist in logistical arrangements such as transportation and materials procurement.
  • Support inventory management and distribution of event materials.
  • Help coordinate catering and other event-related services.

Communication and Follow-up:

  • Assist in preparing communications for attendees and stakeholders.
  • Aid in collecting and organising post-event feedback and data.
  • Support follow-up activities such as thank-you emails and lead tracking.

Preparation and Planning:

  • Assist in preparing materials and resources for event participants.
  • Support registration and administrative tasks leading up to events.
  • Help coordinate technical and logistical requirements for events.

Post-Event Activities:       

  • Assist in post-event evaluation and reporting.
  • Support efforts to analyse event success and areas for improvement.
  • Aid in the coordination of post-event activities such as video editing and content distribution.
  • Fixed assets analysis.
  • Expenses reporting.
  • Cash and bank reconciliations and cash forecasts.

The training you will be getting

Event Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

The majority of the training will take place at the employer's premises but there will be occasional attendance required at Cirencester College.
