What you will do in your working day

  • Working on the different areas of the nursery producing, caring for and assembling and preparing customer orders.
  • Different departments look after each area and any apprentice is moved around them all in a rotation
  • We have multiple departments that you will be working on, including -propagation, growing, potting, preparing customer orders will gain experience across all areas of the business.

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Crop Technician Standard qualification, including Level 2 awards in:

  • Safe Use of Pesticides

On completion of the pesticides foundation unit above also choose one of the following units:

  • Boom sprayer, mounted, trailed or self-propelled equipment
  • Granular applicator equipment
  • Handheld applicator equipment
  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE grade 4 or C or above) will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment.
