Mission Foods is looking for an Apprentice HR Administrator/Receptionist to provide pro-active support to their HR function in all HR related administration and company procedures, including facilities work. The apprentice will also be responsible for general Reception duties.

What you will do in your working day

  • Greet all visitors in an efficient and polite manner and sign in accordingly whilst adhering to our covid-19 protocols
  • Organise incoming and outgoing post and parcels; arrange couriers where necessary
  • Sort and issue mail

  • Maintain noticeboards - update on regular basis
  • Support Accounts department including raising POs, creating Vendor requests and processing invoices
  • Face to face or telephone staff queries and contact with all levels of staff
  • Provide administration support for all HR processes, including recruitment, training, transfers and leavers to ensure the smooth running of the HR department
  • Create and maintain HR records, both computerised and manual so that accurate information is kept. Includes staff files, staff leaver files and training records
  • Manage the reporting of all sickness-absence in line with company policy
  • Manage the control and recording of Holiday requests
  • Produce and record Maternity, Paternity & Parental leave communication
  • Update and maintain personnel database as necessary
  • Arrange weekly OHA appointments
  • Assist with preparation of payroll information, AUA and overtime.
    Assist with induction and integration for new hires, including the creation of personnel files and checking of required documentation, entering of new starters details on the SAP and Kronos systems and completion of probationary reviews
  • Coordinating the recording of holidays into Kronos for the Operations Teams
  • Manage the kronos time and attendance system and monitor WTD

The training you will be getting

  • The successful applicants will work towards achieving a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification at the end of the course
  • Bespoke, onsite training will be delivered one-to-one by our trainers

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • The apprentice will achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship qualification at the end of the course and successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent position with the company
