What you will do in your working day

Saks Doncaster are working with Kleek Apprenticeships to help train new team members with the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to be successful in their salon. Alongside the outstanding training being provided by the Saks team and Kleek educators you will also be learning how a salon works, all while earning a wage.

Daily duties will include:

Assisting with the daily running of the salon such as meeting and greeting clients, reception duties

Carrying out skills and techniques gained in Level 2 qualification

Assisting qualified stylists in creative cuts/colours to gain skills as a Level 3 Hairdressing Apprentice

The training you will be getting

You will be training towards an advanced and creative hair professional Level 3 qualification, supported by Kleek Apprenticeships and the team at your home salon. You will advance your technical skills and knowledge in consultation, creative cut and colour, corrective colour and artistic hairdressing design including styling, dressing and finishing techniques. The programme is ideal if you want to enhance your technical skills and take on more responsibility at the salon.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

After you have completed your Level 3 Diploma in Advanced and Creative Hairdressing you will have reached the pinnacle of hairdressing apprenticeships and are able to become a State Registered Hairdresser (SRH) with The Hairdressing Council. However, there are still more skills you can learn to help you develop within the Hair and Beauty industry.

You will be able to develop your skills further by advancing onto one of the other apprenticeships offered by Kleek Apprenticeships, such as barbering or beauty, each of which will allow you to increase your knowledge add to your skill set and become ever more valuable to your salon.

Once you have successfully completed the program you will be submitted for your End Point Assessment. These assessments have been designed and developed by employers in the hairdressing industry to reflect the daily work of a hairdresser. This makes them very sought after by employers across the industry.
