What you will do in your working day

Duties to include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist sytlist 
  • Help with day to day running of the salon
  • Cutting hair 
  • Colouring hair 
  • Mens hair 
  • Other specialist services 
  • Hair treatment 
  • Hair up 

The training you will be getting

On programme Training:

  • Level 2 diploma for hair professional apprenticeship standard
  • Level 1 and/or 2 functional skills in english and maths
  • Institute of apprenticeship certificate

End point assessment:

  • A practical assessment
  • Oral questioning

The practical assessment and oral questioning will assess the learner’s professionalism, values, behaviours, communication, safe working practices and consultation skills.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of Level 2 Hair professional Apprenticeship.
