What you will do in your working day
We are seeking a Business and Administration Apprentice to join a new Organisational Development team within the HR Division. The team sits within the Change & Programme Management office (CPMO), a new function set up to support positive change and transformation in the University.
The work of the Organisational Development team is focused on improving the employee experience and ensuring that the voice of the employee informs University strategy. They also work with colleagues to support large and small scale change projects, and enhance ways of working across the University.
You will provide a range of administrative support to the Head of Organisational Development and wider team.
The main duties will be:
- Provide general administrative support as required to the
- Organisational Development team, and on occasions the wider Change and Programme Management Office.
- Schedule and organise meetings, including room bookings, preparing papers, taking notes and following up on actions
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Organisational Development, including diary management
- Monitor the central mailbox, answering straightforward queries received and referring complex queries as appropriate
- Review, maintain and develop the team filing system, with support of the wider team
- Provide support with arrangements for events such as conferences, workshops and training sessions, including booking arrangements and responding to enquiries
- Support with team communications including the development of presentations, and updates to SharePoint and websites (training provided)
- Observe projects and contribute to basic operations within a project, including progress monitoring. Work independently on elements of a project or task, referring all decisions to Line Manager, applying new skills as appropriate
- Complete appropriate training, as arranged by training provider in conjunction with Line Manager, to achieve apprenticeship
- Such other duties as the line manager may from time to time require, with relevant training given
The training you will be getting
- The Apprentice will have on the job training via a work mentor and a Cambridge Regional College assessor so they will then be able to gain an Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3 Standard
