What you will do in your working day
- Working effectively with protocols
- Observing legal and organisational requirements (i.e Patient Confidentiality)
- Demonstrating a satisfactory standard of computer literacy and competence, including knowledge and experience of working with software such as word, excel and other Microsoft packages
- Operation of administration systems
- Producing accurate data input and reporting
- Addressing personal development needs and attending training courses
- Handling queries (with patients and other agencies) on the telephone and in person
- Liaising with the management partner/Assistant Manager, practice and attached staff and outside agencies
- General Administration (photocopying, filling, shredding etc
- Inputting data onto the computer system
- Liaising with internal and external colleagues regarding a patient’s care
- Monitoring quality and outcomes framework performances and actively contributing to achieve higher QOF thresholds
- Communication and working relationship with Management Partner / Assistant Manager, Clinicians and attached practice staff, Secondary Care, Community Staff and other outside agencies
- To Understand Medical Coding
- To learn Medical Terminology
The training you will be getting
- You will attend Boston College at least twice a month where you will receive one-to-one support from your assessor
- On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a Business Administrator Level 3 aApprenticeship Standard Qualification

- Advanced Apprentices may progress onto the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship if their job role allows
- Career progression and employment opportunities will be enhanced upon completion of the Apprenticeship framework at any level
