What you will do in your working day

General Recruitment Support

 Support with all recruitment activity such as posting adverts,
organising interviews and liaising with agencies. Work with the
People Business Partners and Advisors to strategically source
talent.

Lifecycle Administration

 Support with producing new joiner paperwork including formal
offer and contract.
 Support with new joiner documentation and pre-employment
checks such as obtaining relevant right to work checks and
references.
 Support with new joiner inductions by ensuring all new people
have a detailed induction plan and also schedule new starter
buddies.
 Organise business cards and name badges for new joiners.
 Support with ensuring that new joiner details are uploaded to the HR system.
 Support with administrating promotions/change of terms and
conditions including update the HR System.
 Support the leaver process including exit interviews.

Data Management

 Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and
complies with legislation.
 Track and monitor absence data through the HR database.
 Producing reports on key HR metrics.

Learning and Development

 Support with maintaining the Learning and Development system
by processing new joiners and leavers.
 Support with setting up all employees/ partners with the correct
learning profile.
 Support with managing the Firms subscriptions and library
(online and hard copy), including ordering appropriate learning
materials.
 Support with managing internal training requirements such as
first aid training.
 Assist with the Performance Development Review process by
tracking and filing the documentation.
 Support with managing the LEXIS, NEXIS and PLC sites by
adding new Fee Earners.
 Support with work experience and non-graduate activity.
 Monitor all L&D spend and process invoices, where applicable.

Employee Relations

 Support with investigation, disciplinary and grievance processes,
where applicable.

People Projects

 Support with various projects as part of the People Plan.

Additional

 Support with People Team communications and updates.
 Support the management of the People Team inbox ensuring
emails are responded to in a timely manner.
 Support with various administration activities including reception
cover, sundries ordering and ad hoc office administration tasks.

  • One day a month at Northampton College Booth Lane
