What you will do in your working day
General duties involved will include:
- Monitor safety, health and environmental performance
- Carry out environmental management system audits
- Carry out risk assessments, inspections and COSHH / REACH activities
- Works with the SHEQ Manager to maintain all the quality procedures and improvements
- Participate in continuous improvement and housekeeping duties
- Administer all SHE and quality customer doocumentation
- Report any SHE and quality issues
The training you will be getting
This is a two year apprenticeship resulting in a Level 3 Safety, Health and Environmental apprenticeship qualification. Training will be mainly at the company site but there will be occasions when the apprentice may need to attend the training provider, In-Comm Training Services, at either their Walsall or Telford sites (whichever is the closest).
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Full-time position in the SHE and Quality department upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, with further scope to work in the Quality Control environment - leading to a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification.
