What you will do in your working day

Working as part of a team, your work would include:

  • Ensuring that the university's contracts fulfil contractual obligations and are fit for purpose.
  • Ensuring that contracts are in line with strategic priorities and deliver value.
  • Escalating any risks which may impact on successful delivery to the Technology and Data Strategy Board.
  • Providing specialist IT contract management, licensing and compliance support across the university.
  • Managing a portfolio of software contract renewals in partnership with the Procurement team.

The training you will be getting

  • You will attend Sheffield Hallam University on block release for 3 or 4 days at a time, 6 times a year
  • Degree apprenticeships can be for anyone, not just school-leavers, and are an effective way for both existing staff and new starters to work and learn at any stage. On completion of this apprenticeship you will be awarded a a BA (Hons) Professional Practice in Management Degree, so it is a great opportunity to study while you work.
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.

Things to consider

Please note that the successful apprentice will join our February 2024 intake. Therefore we can only accept applications from candidates who have already completed their A Level/Level 3 qualifications.
