What you will do in your working day

This role is suitable for a person at the beginning of their career in finance. They will provide accounting and finance support for the largest member of the group, Crest Medical Ltd. Full support and funding is offered for the AAT qualification.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain daybooks (GBP, USD & EUR) and process notifications to an invoice finance facility
  • Post incoming cash and reconcile customer accounts on SAP system - GBP, USD & EUR bank reconciliations
  • Open and distribute post
  • Raise credit notes once authorised by management
  • Low level customer credit control
  • Customer query resolution
  • Audit preparation
  • Open new customer accounts
  • Process credit-debit card payments via Worldpay
  • Other duties can be delegated to the Accounts Junior depending on the needs of the business. For example, they may be expected to cover the credit control function in the absence of both credit controllers

The training you will be getting

  • Assistant Accountancy Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3, which will include (if required) Level 2 Book keeping. You will also achieve the AAT Technical Certificate at Level 3

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • This is a permanent role with an opportunity to progress onto a higher Apprenticeship and/or additional training on completion of your Level 3 Apprenticeship
