The People Services department is the central hub of all administration across the business where high volume of people transactional activities are performed. The apprentice will work with the team to assist with end to end ownership and responsibility for managing employee related changes in a timely and efficient manner.

What you will do in your working day
Specific Duties:
1.To be the first point of contact for general queries, providing a confidential, empathetic and efficient front line service via the Topdesk, email & phone.
2.To provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
3.To complete efficient and effective transactions covering all activities and learning how to apply sound judgement and initiative.
4.Actively managing People Services Team mailboxes and responding to queries sent through these mailboxes.
5.To complete the administration for key employment processes throughout the employee lifecycle and producing supporting paperwork, letters and correspondence.
6.To create and maintain accurate employee records with the HR system.
7.To maintain a comprehensive filing system, to ensure all files are kept up to date according to retention guidelines.
8.To assist with processing leavers, arranging exit interviews and complete references of current and ex-employees as required.
9.To effectively process payroll for salary and sickness purposes and appropriate paperwork is completed to ensure compliance, using HR and payroll systems as required.
10.To support the People Services team with current projects.
To issue routine correspondence in the form of letters and emails as appropriate and prepare other documents for approval as directed
The training you will be getting
The training is all completed once a month online, in the workplace.
You will achieve the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
