This is a key, varied, and fast paced role that will enable you to showcase your skills to provide support to all departments. Duties include supporting fleet maintenance tasks including record keeping and the commercial department in other ad-hoc administrative tasks and credit control.

What you will do in your working day

As an Office Administrator at BMH Scaffolding Ltd, your key duties will include:

  • Coordinating office activities to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
  • Support in answering queries from internal stakeholders
  • Create documents e.g. in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Filing and organising documentation and emails
  • Performing data entry roles, including updating records and databases
  • Supporting the accounting function with sales invoicing and some accounting entries
  • Supporting fleet maintenance tasks including record keeping and the commercial department in other ad-hoc administrative tasks
  • Credit control
  • Answering the telephone
  • Liaising with the Yard Manager for stock and goods inwards control

Skills, Qualification & Attributes:

  • Experience of general office administration & working closely with colleagues in other departments
  • Computer literate - experience of MS office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook. Sage Accounts 50 experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and capability to manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive individual with excellent communication skills

Our qualified Scaffolders are CITB, CISRS trained and possess Powered Access Licenses. They are updated with all new regulations and assessed regularly. Collectively, their expertise covers every aspect within construction, alteration and dismantling of scaffold. We also have trainee & apprentice Scaffolders that are working towards City & Guilds National Vocational Qualification Level 2. Making sure we do our part to give the necessary experience to the future generation of scaffolders.
