What will the apprentice be doing?

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

Training records:

  • Maintain current up to date staff records on essential training & qualifications. E.G. Safeguarding and Prevent
  • Keep and maintain CPD records for staff in central HR records

Recruitment:

  • Assist with recruitment processes

Onboarding:

Support with onboarding administration and records maintenance, for example:

  • Offer letters
  • Employment contracts
  • Placement forms
  • References
  • DBS checks and set ups of updates service
  • Qualification details and copies 
  • Equipment set up processes

Support with first day processes:

  • New starter forms
  • Payroll information
  • Medical questionnaires
  • DSE and workplace H&S assessments

Induction and Training:

Support with the coordination and administration of induction and training, including:

  • Mandatory training coordination and maintenance
  • Induction training
  • Coordination with HoD for initial training plans ensuring this meets high quality standards
  • Coordination of company wide orientation plans

Maintain HR records including:

  • Maintain employment and all ongoing HR records
  • Remuneration uplifts and triggers
  • Maintain central register for all employment

CPD:

  • Monitor progress of all ongoing CPD
  • Maintain records of start dates and anticipated completion dates

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The apprentice will learn with the chosen training provider, completing the Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship Standard
  • Delivery of the apprenticeship training is all online

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • This apprenticeship could be the start of a career in the education sector with progression opportunities in the following business functions; administration and operations, Finance, HR, Marketing and Quality

Things to consider

This role is remote, with the opportunity to visit the office in Disley for extra support. All equipment for working from home will be provided. You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the role: have been a UK/EEA resident for the last 3 years, hold valid residency status, have the right to work in the UK.
