What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist with cover in reception in the event of holidays, absence or diverting of resource.
  • Manage the overflow of telephone calls.
  • Open new files.
  • Provide administrative support to the office e.g., scanning, faxing, photocopying.
  • Action postal duties to include scanning and delivery of post to Joanne Jones every morning and afternoon.
  • Printing of contract packs when required.
  • AML checks- Thirdfort and Creditserve.
  • Searches – as instructed by Conveyancers.
  • The retrieval of deeds following a request or enquiry from a client or colleague.
  • Produce signing in sheets on a weekly basis.
  • Manage the changeover of back up discs.
  • Dealing with confidential waste and its collection.
  • Ensure all basic stationary is stocked up around the office including the filling of all printers.
  • Stock take of all stationary and consumables.
  • Ordering of stationary when required once authorised by a Partner.
  • Action all end of day office duties including card payments and end of day banking in the absence of cashiers.
  • Making sure that at the end of the week the office is clean and all waste bins are empty.
  • The organisation of celebration cards for other colleagues.
  • Any other administration tasks requested on an ad hoc basis by colleagues and the Partners.
  • Ensure you act at all times in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures of the company in respect of client confidentiality & data protection, money laundering and health & safety issues.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Business Admin Level 3 qualification. 
  • One day at DCG and the rest of the week at the workplace. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Permanent position.
