The successful applicant will join a very modern friendly salon, with advanced training in salon to gain the newest trends from cutting techniques, balayage, luxurious hair care product range.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Learning whole aspect of hairdressing from reception skills
- Advanced techniques of cutting, blow-drying, colouring
- Learning how to work in team
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will be working in the salon 4-days a week being mentored for in-house training, plus 1-day a week at Cambridge Regional College.
The practical period is the time dedicated to the development of the knowledge, skills and behaviours for your apprenticeship which includes the following components:
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing
- Hair Professional Standard skills, knowledge and behaviours
- Functional Skills Level 1 maths and English (exemptions apply)
The apprentice would be assigned a hairdressing assessor through the college, who would typically come out to visit in the workplace to assess workplace competence. The knowledge side would be provided via day release workshop attendance, assignments, evidence of workplace competence. Portfolio would be checked via an online Smart Assessor.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Become professional fully qualified hair stylist with possible permanent position in salon after apprenticeship for the right candidate
