What will the apprentice be doing?
Responsible for the management of the client telephone and email helpline service provision along with project work generated by the HR Business Partner Team.
- To provide exceptional service to our clients in all aspects of work in line with our Company Values and Behaviours
- To always promote the Company at every opportunity and project a professional image
- To provide confidential, accurate and efficient administration support to Human Resources and Health and Safety teams, to ensure that client deadlines are met along with specific task deadlines as determined by the Business Partners
- To continue your CIPD level training supported by our HR Business Partners, HR Operations manager and “on the job” experience from the provision of HR support to Park City’s Clients
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide telephone and email helpline advice to clients on employee relations matters, including discipline, grievance, absence, TUPE etc as required and to record and evidence all advice using the Company CRM system
- The effective and efficient communication of client issues to the lead Business Partner
- To contact clients to clarify open issues to complete Handbooks and employment contracts in the required time, on behalf of the HR Business Partner
- To ensure that all activities completed are entered onto our CRM System daily including logging calls and emails and ensuring contact details and dates held on the system are kept up to date
- To occasionally work outside normal office hours and reasonable additional hours to ensure completion of tasks, this will include hours prior to office opening hours, evenings, and weekends
- To cover administration for the HR and H&S team during planned/unplanned absences and peaks in workload as below
Human Resources Administration:
- Producing Contracts and Offer letters accurately and efficiently, including preparing and producing mail merges for contracts of employment
- Updating and producing Company Handbooks for clients as requested by HR Business Partners and contact clients to clarify open issues to complete Handbooks and employment contracts in the required time, on behalf of the Business Partner
- To proofread, check and approve final drafts of clients’ company Handbooks and employment contracts
- To assist with taking minutes for the HR Business Partners at employee relations meetings, such as disciplinary and grievance hearings
- Responding to client requests for HR Administration
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As part of your role, you will study a HR consultant partner, Level 5 (Higher national diploma) course.
This will be achieved by on-the-job training and experience, modules and study sessions with our Learning Provider based in Colchester.
Study time will be allocated as part of your job role.
This is a full time employed position based in our offices in Ardleigh Colchester, CO7 7PL. 9 am to 5pm, five days a week.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Our intention is to invest in the best and most suitable candidate, initially you will follow a CIPD level 5 course, work place related study and assessment with online tutors and supported by our team of HR Business Partners, a nineteen month course, whilst you’re fully employed as our HR Advisor and Administrator supporting our team and benefiting from their professional activities as part of your studies. After successful completion your role, you would develop your career further to include studying further to CIPD level 7, whilst assuming the expanded role of HR Advisor and Administrator, managing a portfolio of clients and providing direct services to our clients, in addition your CPD would include attendance at relevant CIPD and ACAS workshops and specific targeted training courses.
Ultimately with experience and further internal development, assuming excellent performance, Park City would then support further professional development with the destination being an HR business partner, managing a full portfolio of clients and taking responsibility for contract service delivery.
