What will the apprentice be doing?

As our Customer Service Apprentice, you will be working within our small team to build excellent rapport with our customers, providing a high standard of customer service and be confident with up selling and cross selling techniques to clinch every sale possible. We are looking for right individual who has the passion and drive for achieving sales targets and beyond and one that thrives on excelling within their role.

Your role will also be to actively promote our services, especially helping new customers who are not familiar with our range of service.

  • Handle and resolve customer enquiries face to face and over the telephone
  • Take customer payments
  • Stock rotation
  • Product testing and evaluation
  • Marketing new lines and offers via social media platforms
  • Maintain shop floor and window displays to a high standard
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Promote additional products and services to customers

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Standard
  • A bespoke programme of technical and vocational training
  • Functional skills in maths and English if applicable

The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated work-based trainer who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.

As a customer service apprentice your course will be delivered within the workplace, you will not be required to attend the Grimsby Institute during the delivery of the programme.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Possible permanent contract upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and further enhanced industry-based training.
