An exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic Purchasing Team, dealing with a variety of roles in a fast paced environment. You will support the purchasing department to co-ordinate the purchasing and organisation of the supply chain process and goods. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills within a growing industry. Duties will include; To assist in the purchasing of all materials, goods and services to ensure in line with the relevant documentation and to meet customer order requirements. To assist in the organisation, follow-up and monitoring of the logistics of all Purchase Orders ensuring goods are delivered as per order requirements. To support relations with current suppliers to the highest levels and liaise with suppliers to resolve any outstanding queries and issues.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Assisting the Purchasing Team in the daily operations of managing and coordinating the purchasing department to ensure the ongoing and efficient running of the department.
- To assist in the purchasing of all materials, goods and services to ensure in line with the relevant documentation and to meet customer order requirements
- To assist in the organisation, follow-up and monitoring of the logistics of all Purchase Orders ensuring goods are delivered as per order requirements
- To support relations with current suppliers to the highest levels and liaise with suppliers to resolve any outstanding queries and issues
- To ensure that any time delays are communicated at the earliest opportunityCommunications and liaising with different internal Departments eg accounts, sales, engineering.
- General administration duties
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will be completing the level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Standard which is delivered solely in the workplace. You will have a dedicated Trainer/Coach to support your learning journey and work within an online portfolio system called OneFile.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Progression onto the next level of qualification and Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
