    Monday- Friday, and rotating every 6th Saturday morning (30 minutes only). Shift pattern of either: 08:00 – 16:30 or 09:30 - 18:00 each week, set 1 month in advance.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties:

  • Collaborating with HR Advisor and Business Development Manager to ensure that HR strategy is consistent and relevant
  • Maintaining up to date HR Logs
  • Assisting in maintaining up to date HR trackers - This includes absence, lateness, recruitment, refer a friend, retention/turnover, missing new starter documents, maternity, compliance/ health and safety. Using these trackers to monitor
  • Practice writing HR letters from templates- this includes invites, outcomes, template meeting notes and any other important communication
  • Managing recruitment efforts
  • Monitoring and updating files to ensure GDPR compliance
  • Assisting HR Advisor with any HR meetings (note taking, question writing)
  • Staying up to date with employment law and making changes to policies and procedures when necessary
  • Liaising with staff and responding to or directing queries as appropriate
  • Maintaining a stock of contracts for in-store positions
  • Saving new starter documents following the Company naming convention
  • Creating HR PowerPoint presentations for in-house training workshops
  • Using 20% of working hours for off the job studies which you responsible for organising and managing

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As a Level 3 HR Support apprentice, you will complete the following qualifications as part of your apprenticeship:

  • Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if not already achieved
  • You will also develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work within an office environment
  • This apprenticeship is delivered in the workplace and 20% of your working time will be dedicated towards training and learning new skills
  • You will be allocated a tutor who will provide you with personal support and assessment at pre-arranged times.
  • Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence and professional discussions
  • All evidence will be logged to your electronic portfolio

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Potential progression to a permanent position upon completion of the apprenticeship for the right person
