What will the apprentice be doing?

The HR Apprentice will be working within the HR team, helping with all administrative tasks regarding the lifecycle of a member of staff.

Working closely with the HR Coordinators, HR Manager and Recruitment Manager, the Apprentice will be contributing to the swift onboarding of new staff, maintaining open communication with them as well as 3rd parties during the process, and assisting with any actions required during their employment with us.

  • To fulfil the requirements of the HR Apprenticeship including on the job training and classroom-based learning
  • To learn and carry out tasks associated to HR Administration including completing template contracts and contractual correspondence, calculating salaries and holiday entitlement, diarising key dates in the employee journey such as probationary period
  • To learn and carry out tasks associated to Recruitment Administration such as providing administrative support to Service Managers in arranging interviews, working with the HR team to onboard candidates, carrying out reference checks, keeping in contact with candidates and requesting information if required to complete the onboarding process as well as ordering ID badges
  • To be a point of contact for all staff, assisting with queries and questions where possible and liaising with the team to ask for help as and when required, always following our values of Commitment, Collaboration and Positive Interactions

  • Adhere to and promote the Company’s policies, being accountable for the H&S of yourself and others

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The Apprentice will be completing the Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship, whereby they will be learning about the laws within employment and HR and how these are implemented during the staff lifecycle.

The Apprentice will be given 1 full day a week to complete their Apprenticeship work, either in Head Office or Working from Home, depending on the needs of the business.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once qualified, the successful Apprentice will be able to progress into a HR Coordinator or HR Advisor role within a business, as well as look to begin work on their CIPD qualifications, to help them progress upwards towards Management.
