What will the apprentice be doing?
Reporting to Office Local Lead to establish priority of work.
• Photocopying/scanning for departments
• Diary management.
. Booking and managing Meeting rooms.
• Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
• Meeting and greeting clients and taking ID documents.
• Post
o Collecting and distributing post.
o Scanning post
o Franking post
o Travel arrangements for fee earners when necessary.
• Covering reception when required and on lunch hour.
• Auditing the strong room (keeping an electronic ALB log of the documents going in and
out of the room)
o To create an electronic ALB log of the documents stored.
o To create space.
o To provide a secure system to log documents in and out of the strong room.
o To generate work from a working review system. (e.g. will reviews, EPA reviews, Trust
reviews, lease reviews and first registrations)
o Initial responsibilities will be:
• Undertaking general office duties including restocking sundries, stationary
• Ensure all feedback received from Clients or 3rd parties regarding the Firm or a service
provided is passed on to the appropriate individual.
• To undertake any specified responsibility and to be familiar and comply with the
requirements of all regulatory/professional quality standards within your office, the Firm’s
compliance and quality standards procedures and policies.
Where possible cover planned and unplanned absences in the Attleborough office.
• Actively help others and seek assistance when required.
• Attend meetings as and when required.
• Support departmental/firm business development and marketing initiatives.
• Where possible make recommendations for continuous improvement of client services
and departmental/firm processes.
• To undertake compliance with and be fully aware of all aspects of requirements imposed
by the Solicitors Accounts Rules, money laundering obligations, SRA Code of Conduct
and other statutory and Law Society rules and regulations from time to time enforced for
the conduct of the business of a solicitor.
• To undertake any specified responsibility and to be familiar and comply with the
requirements of all regulatory/professional quality standards within your Department, the
Firm’s compliance and quality standards procedures and policies.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties or activities which may be allocated
