What will the apprentice be doing?

At Cobalt Systems, we are currently hiring for a role that will allow you to:

  • Learn the full consultative sales process, developing relationships with our customer base which ranges from local SMEs, all the way to well-known publicly-traded companies
  • Show you how to generate and close profitable opportunities
  • Show you how to communicate effectively with senior contacts
  • Show you how to understand the ins-and-outs of business operations
  • Promote yourself as a trusted advisor
  • Work within a team of like-minded and mission-focussed colleagues

This is an opportunity for you to learn the ropes, gain new skills, while earning a salary as well as un-capped commission.

However, please understand that this is not a role you can “just show up” for. It is critical that the successful applicants be ambitious and willing to work hard to fulfil their potential to become a profit-generating closer and more trusted contact with our customers!

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The candidate will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full Standard as a Customer Service Specialist. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West.

If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skill in the relevant subjects.

They will also be supported to learn and understand the unique products which this company develops and manufactures.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This is an opportunity to develop a sales/customer service career with a company that prides itself on its high staff retention.

A strong desire to develop a professional field sales career with some national travel is one of the goals after completing the apprenticeship.
