This position is for an Apprentice Assistant to help run our busy nursery working with 2, 3 and 4 year olds. This opportunity will allow the apprentice to understand working in a nursery and what it takes to support children in their education.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Setting up
- Preparing and supporting with snacks
- Supporting children with their learning
- Tidying away and re-setting up the environment
- Monitoring and liaising with the team about children’s development and well-being
- Working with a team of nursery practitioners/assistants to ensure all nursery details are completed
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
- Training to take place at Northampton College, NN3 3RF - 1 day a week
Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework (Annex A): Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
