What will the apprentice be doing?

An amazing opportunity to join one of the Top 75 Tech/eCommerce businesses, who’s innovative approach to the market place has moved it to the largest supplier of our goods and services. As part of the Barcodes INC Group we belong to by far the largest ID company globally.  
 
You will be working as an integral part of a team servicing some of the most prestigious customers globally, from Premier League Football Clubs, The BBC, universities and large retail outlets, in which you will have responsibility for some of the key elements of the organisation’s overall sales and marketing plans, contributing to our success.
 
You will be involved in providing support in multiple capacities for the sales department. You will be working as an integral part of a team servicing some of the most prestigous customers globally, from Premier League Football Clubs, The BBC, universities and large retail outlets, in which you will have responsibility for some of the key elements of the organisation’s overall sales and marketing plans, contributing to our success.

• Monitoring sales enquiries, responding to customers, generating quotes and dealing with any orders     
• Answering the sales telephone line, re-routing to the correct person or department
• Making follow up outbound calls over time to new and existing customers to help with any queries  
• Creating quotations on word documents and sending them to customers 
• To keep records on our system (Sage CRM) effectively throughout the day 
• Assist sales staff with general admin, updating contact details, inputting companies on the system, run reports using the system.
• Sending samples out to clients on behalf of sales staff 
• Research into potential clients, getting relevant information 
• Creating/using spreadsheets

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Duration:


  • 15 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment


Delivery model:

  • Work-based training with your employer
  • 10 days professional training at college
  • Approximately 12 on-site or/and Teams assessment visits per year
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
  • Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The business offers a substantial step programme to move up in sales or admin with their most recent apprentice winning apprentice of the year. A large proportion of the current sales team started their journey as a sales admin apprentice with the business and are now very successful members of the sales team.
