What will the apprentice be doing?

Key responsibilities: [will include but not be limited to:]

  • Work with other members of the team to develop and build relevant skills and knowledge 
  • Escalate incidents or high-impact problems to the IT Managers, keeping them updated as the situation changes 
  • Maintaining documentation such as working instructions, user guides and procedures 
  • Facilitate teamwork by documenting and sharing work practices 
  • Creating and assigning incidents and requests based on priority to appropriate teams 
  • Perform and undertake all aspects of support service (triage, telephone calls, voicemails, call backs, mailboxes etc.) to ensure the successful resolution of issues 
  • Handling incoming calls and undertaking any relevant issue investigation ensuring all key information is accurately captured 

You will also: 

  • Learn to use the company’s IT Service Management Tool to triage incidents and requests to the appropriate teams 
  • Learn how to investigate and resolve issues for users and systems 
  • Learn the company security guidelines and monitor emails

QA’s Azure Cloud Support Specialist Level 3 apprenticeship programme enables the apprentice to:

  • Learn on-premise and cloud-enabled technologies and services
  • Learn technical content that aligns to and is relevant to employers and the market
  • Gain an Azure Fundamentals Qualification and a Microsoft 365 fundamentals qualification
  • Get an introduction to Windows, Linux and PowerShell 

Tools and technologies learned: Learners will learn to use Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Linux, PowerShell.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
