Daily Check List:

  • Overnight/weekend allocations

  • Morning post & scanning to fee earners
  • Daily incoming post email 
  • Diary deadlines and limitation reminders
  • Adding deadlines to calendars once post has been sorted
  • Afternoon post
  • Chasing initial paperwork & passing file back to fee earner once chasing procedure or signed paperwork finalised

  • Scanning and storing wills
  • Opening new files 
  • Copying bundles
  • Scanning bundles
  • Sorting bundles into lever arch files
  • Copying disks
  • Printing disks
  • Printing records
  • Arranging cabinets
  • Adobe bundles
  • Updating spreadsheets
  • Forwarding emails from general inboxes
  • Faxing
  • Returning parcels and ad-hoc tasks 
  • Telephone answering - taking brief message and emailing message

Main contact on reception:

  • Form completion for any visitors
  • Locking up at end of day, putting shutters down
  • Weekly fire alarm testing
  • Boardroom and meeting preparation

The training you will be getting

  • Off the job training will be at Oldham College one day a week
