This position is suited to a confident and proactive team player who has superb communications skills and be a confident operator within the business. You will work with our clients to recruit apprentice talent, at the same time as working towards your Level 3 Recruitment Consultant apprenticeship. You will be supported by our Sales & Marketing Team, and as you become more familiar and confident with recruitment, the role will include screening all candidates, interviewing them, and running background checks to make sure there is a good fit before referring them across to final interview with the client.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Following our Recruitment Cycle, your role will include matching applicants to our clients’ apprenticeship vacancies, as well as meeting deadlines and responding to enquiries.  

Other responsibilities include supporting with drafting job descriptions ready for use in a range of media, as well as networking and headhunting. There is a need to work across departments by having clear communication with the Business Development team and supporting the marketing team by promoting our opportunities across all of our social media platforms and websites.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To manage and keep up to date our recruitment platform, Talos
  • To follow the PTS recruitment cycle for all types of our delivery
  • To generate and maintain all apprentice job opportunities on a local and national level, working closely with the National Apprenticeship Service
  • To build, grow and maintain a talent pool of candidates that can be accessed when needed for roles and training
  • To communicate effectively, consistently and professionally with all stakeholders of our business, including our clients, providing regular updates and reports
  • To communicate required recruitment reports to the line manager every Friday
  • To maintain our CRM system, Salesforce follows our CRM process
  • To book and facilitate PTS’s attendance at any required apprenticeship and business events that have been agreed
  • To use online advertising, researching and utilising job boards and social media to their full potential
  • To work with marketing to ensure that all vacancies are visible across our social media platforms
  • To support different business projects through recruitment of learners
  • To maintain the ESFA database of PTS courses to ensure it is current and up to date.
  • To promote Job of the Month
  • To ensure that you uphold all PTS’s Policies and Procedures.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities as determined by the business

We will also require the job role to become a Safeguarding Champion as part of the role.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Complete Level 3 Recruitment Consultant Qualification at your work placement. You will receive:
  • Level 3 apprenticeship standard in Recruitment 
  • Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Recruitment or Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Recruitment
  • Off the Job training to be completed one day a week

Things to consider

Driving licence and own transport is desirable but not essential . Office is easily commutable by public transport. There is also the requirement to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
