What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful candidate will be part of a busy team, supporting in the provision of solutions that help our clients  to balance attracting and retaining talent, manage costs and promote employee wellbeing. Lockton People Solutions product expertise includes Pensions consulting, Private Medical Insurance design and placement, Life and Disability broking, Wellbeing and Occupational Health Support. Within your role as Apprentice, you will gain exposure to both the client service and broking based work carried out by this division.

Your key responsibilities will be:

*The following elements will be in a support capacity to more experienced associates*

  • Supporting the service delivery of client accounts across the People Solutions practice
  • Assisting Consultants in preparation of client deliverables and materials, including but not limited to periodic status reports and financial and technical summaries
  • Assisting Consultants in tracking project progress and timelines, maintaining client files, populating and maintaining activity/issues trackers
  • Supporting team members in addressing and resolving client issues involving claims, administration, compliance, etc.
  • Supporting the Senior Brokers with the team’s market review activity
  • Conduct and support end-to-end market reviews for all healthcare and protection based employee benefits, with a key focus on private healthcare, group life assurance and group income protection
  • Liaison and terms negotiation with the provider market
  • Drafting client facing market review reports and review collateral
  • Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure experience is improved at every opportunity

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will work towards your:

  • Financial Services Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII)
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required).

This will be done virtually through Davies 6 hours per week off the job.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Upon completion of the apprenticeship you are guaranteed to be offered a permanent position within the company
