What will the apprentice be doing?

  • This is a full-time position with distance learning implemented to aid training and complete recognised qualifications.
  • You will support all administration and ensure the smooth operation of the Servicing department by providing a superior level of customer service that adheres to company policies and procedures.
  •  Ensuring a smooth operation of the client product servicing cycle.
  • Be the first point of contact for all incoming calls ensuring they are answered promptly and efficiently in a professional manner (after training has been received).
  •  Managing all administrative tasks including any servicing requirements of all assets, modification requests or breakdowns from the clients.
  •  Representing yourself and Dawsongroup in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensuring all information is recorded accurately on company databases (M Drive / AS400).
  •  Monitor and order necessary stock held at 3rd party repair agents ensuring a suitable level is kept at all times to aid with repairs and maintenance.
  •  Carry out stock checks weekly and document all information accurately on the AS400 monitoring any increase or decrease in use of a specific product, reporting findings to the service manager.
  •  Supporting the controllers and quality inspector with booking in of small refurbishment projects, coordinating and gathering information for engineers.
  •  Monitor our web-based systems (GPRS Data Site), after full training provided.
  •  Alert superiors of any irregular information from on the web-based systems which will require attention.
  •  Liaising with colleagues, clients and other businesses within Dawsongroup to provide a first-class service supporting all areas where possible.
  •  Health & Safety consideration will take priority in all instances and must always be observed.
  •  A positive hardworking attitude is a must for the role.
  •  Alert senior management to potential problems in good times recommending proposed action plans.
  •  Address positive changes with the goal being customer satisfaction and zero breakdowns.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.

This is a work based programme which means that all of your learning will take place on the site of your employment and within your contracted working hours. We host supporting workshops regularly throughout the apprenticeship which you can attend in person at our Derby Road campus or virtually via Microsoft Teams.

You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

You will experience a blended learning model.

You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.

At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
