    Annual bonus up to 10% salary. Company contribution to pension (5% of salary) from age 22. Health Insurance following successful completion of apprenticeship.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Your role will be primarily to support the design consultants with general administration and support in the production of drawings and schedules. You will be involved with the coordination and implementation of office procedures, be a creative thinker, use initiative and work independently as part of the team. Most work involves both written and oral communication and requires relevant skills such as IT, organisational and presentation skills as well as the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. You will acquire a good understanding of technical, regulatory, commercial issues and foodservice design.

Main Duties:

  • Receive and complete work in response to the consultants' requirements
  • Complete the work in an accurate and timely manner and on a weekly basis
  • Produce drawings/documents to the set office standards
  • Identify training and development requirements to further your development
  • Manage and maintain CAD block library and supplier literature
  • Print, fold and collate drawing and document distribution both electronically and by hard copy
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, drawing issue sheets and schedules
  • Manage and maintain online document control systems.
  • Keeping up to date with current food hygiene regulations and catering equipment
  • Speaking to equipment suppliers, manufacturers, design teams and contractors for project specific requests / information

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Business Administrator Level 3 Standard
  • On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard. 
  • Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
