What will the apprentice be doing?
We are looking for a Logistics Operator Apprentice to help manage stock movement in and outbound whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the inventory records under your remit, including all associated documentation and record keeping, both manually and electronically.

Main duties to include:
Inbound
- Receive incoming stock
- Manage all stock movements within the factory and follow through any discrepancies that may arise
- Manage stock with expiry dates accordingly
- Assist quality department with goods inspection as required
- Work closely with purchasing department for stock replenishment
Outbound:
- Pick and pack shipping goods based on SAP requirements and packing guide
- Execute shipping process in SAP, incl. freight scheduling
- Support during problem solving, e.g., embargo checks
- Keep accurate records, both manually and electronically for all inwards inventory movements
- Carry out stock checks as required and follow company stock control policies and procedures
- Report to your manager on a daily basis any issues relating to goods movements
- Maintain the work area and equipment in accordance with company 5s standards.
- Liaise with internal and external customers as required
- Take responsibility for continuous improvement and Lean methodologies
- Be prepared to support other departments when needed
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will achieve a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative (Level 2) Apprenticeship Standard delivered via a work mentor and college assessor.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You will achieve a Supply Chain Operativve qualification that can lead on to other positions.
