What will the apprentice be doing?
My client is a leading 3rd party logistics company with a name for quality and efficiency in the shared user and dedicated transport solutions industry. From 30 depots spread across the UK from Inverness to the Isle of Wight, an EU network that extends across 27 countries and global forwarding capacity – they keep your freight seamlessly moving anywhere in the world.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the transport team of one of the largest and best-known companies in the country. To provide an overall service function for the transport operation, in an administrative capacity. Other activities include supporting and organising specific elements of transport operations.
They are now eager to find a dedicated and hard-working Transport Customer Service Administrator Apprentice to join their friendly, continuously growing team.
Working from the Belper office, your main duties will include:
- Booking in and tracking of deliveries
- Preparation of delivery paperwork
- Job Entry
- Resolving problems
- EDI processing
- Preparing any transport jobs and paperwork as and when required
- Liaise with customers, drivers, and partners regarding POD retrieval
- Delivering excellent customer service via phone and email
The successful candidate will be dealing with suppliers on a day-to-day basis. Therefore, good communication, IT skills and confidence are of the upmost importance. Great attention to detail is also a key skill, along with excellent customer service skills.
This role is supported by the Business Administrator level 3 apprenticeships standard delivered by Starting Off.
