They will champion excellent care, and continuously seek self-development. You will offer support to care workers who are working with people living with dementia.

    Pay is 4 weekly, or weekly. All training is funded by the company, and training time paid. 28 days paid holiday.

    Working pattern to be negotiated at interview and will include some evening work. 1 day off each week and every other weekend.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Support groups for people living with dementia and their Carers
  • Activity sessions
  • Well-being assessments and Action Planning
  • Support to family members 
  • Engaging with the local community to improve the lives of those living with dementia
  • Promotion of workforce development and upskilling our staff team
  • The role also includes the direct delivery or personal care and support

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Completion of the industry recognised Care Certificate inclusive of practical training in Moving People and Medication Administration
  • Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship (Level 3 Diploma)
  • Advanced Training in Dementia 
  • Training will be on and off the job, with 1 day each week to complete training and assessment at our office base or at the candidate's home address
  • Following the Apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity for further development

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Once successfully qualified, there will be the opportunity to manage the company's dementia services

Things to consider

The role will include travel within our local areas, up to a radius of 15 miles of Macclesfield.
