GEM have an exciting opportunity for a number of applicants to develop skills in Lean Manufacturing, MIG Welding and Forklift Truck Operation whilst working with our client based in Newton Aycliffe. After successful completion of the 12 month training programme, apprentices could earn a salary of £26073, plus shift allowance and overtime.

3 shift pattern - days, nights and back shift. Days 7am-3pm. Nights 11pm-7am. Backs 3pm-11pm. Overtime may also be required on occasion, including weekends.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Specialise in the manufacturing of chassis products, or support of chassis products, via machine operation, welding or logistics.
- Gain industry experience within world class training facilities, including MIG Welding and Forklift Truck qualifications.
- Work towards targets to achieve 85% efficiency/performance levels.

Manufacturing Operative (LMO) Apprenticeship
· The Lean Manufacturing Operative will be expected to carry out their work safely and meet the standards demanded in a fast-paced working environment. The LMO course is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, knowledge and behaviours.
· Full-time work-based learners will spend 12 months on-programme working towards the Lean Manufacturing apprenticeship standard.
· You will be expected to undertake coursework and improvement activities throughout the duration of the course as part of your off-the-job training.
· You will be allocated mentor within the workplace.
· Learners without English & Maths at a level 2 must achieve a level 2 whilst enrolled on the course.
