What will the apprentice be doing?
- Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
- Take and relay messages
- Provide information to callers
- Greet persons entering the organisation
- Direct persons to the correct destination
- Deal with queries from customers and the public
- Ensures knowledge of staff movements in and out of organisation.
- General administrative and clerical support.
- Prepare letters and documents.
- Receiving and sorting mail and deliveries.
- Scheduling appointments.
- Maintaining the appointment diary either manually or electronically.
- Organizing meetings.
- Tidying and maintaining the reception area
- To provide Records Management Systems support, guidance and training to team members and Budget Holders, where applicable.
- To understand the need for the development and retention of IT and paper based records to support the Audit trail for public funds.
- To input to the development of local systems for the purpose of meeting LiEA and external Audit requirements.
- To understand the context of the Freedom of Information, State Aid and Data Protection Act and the implications of these requirements.
