What will the apprentice be doing?
Dachser is a global logistics business looking for talented individuals who want to develop knowledge and skills in a company that recognizes and rewards hard work and commitment, The Dachser apprenticeship programme is unique in respect of how you learn the industry you will have the benefit of working on a rotation through every department to ensure you have a full understanding of the logistics process and a guaranteed role with us at the end of you learning journey.
Key Accountabilities
- To undertake the duties assigned to them during their training programme and to attain the required levels of competence in each of the departments
- To acquire a standard that allows them to train others in the roles
- To attain a level 3 qualification within the 2 year training period
Performance Indicators
(What criteria will be used to assess performance / how can performance expectations be exceeded)
- Achievements of objectives set for each placement
- Attainment of the required level of competence after each placement and the ability to undertake the role on their own
- Good attendance both at work and for off the job training
- Good reports from supervisors after each placement
- Attainment of good progress in training
- Achievement of level 3 qualification IFF at the end of the apprenticeship

A Level qualifications

- Excellent communication skills – with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to talk in a way the customer understands
- Influence and impact people across all levels in the Organisation
- Ability to listen to others and understand the situation from their perspective
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the logistics sector
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Skilled in adapting their style and language to suit the customer, department or level that they are dealing with
- A highly customer service orientation with an understanding of what good looks like and a passion for delivering quality
- Highly adaptable
- Ability to deal with customer problems efficiently and professionally
- Ability to take responsibility to resolve issues
- Ability to build close professional relationships with customers without getting personally involved
- Ability to work on own initiative and adapt working day around the issues that need to be resolved
- Ability to balance the reactive aspects of the role with the proactive elements required to develop revenue and build customer relationships
- Excellent IT skills and data manipulation skills to provide quality reporting for customers
- Excellent skills in Dachser IT systems
Experience:
- Experience of working in the logistics sector or complementary business
- Experience in working in a customer services environment
