What will the apprentice be doing?
The ideal candidate will be looking to develop a career in administration and to work within a company that specialises in the provision of occupational therapy services to both the public and private sectors.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Screening calls and taking detailed accurate messages where necessary
- Making appointments, travel arrangements and updating multiple diaries for upper management and sub-contractors
- Dealing with correspondence (e-mail, letters etc) scanning documents
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- Liaising with OT associate staff and with external contacts
- Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Manage company blog postings and social media accounts
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- To work across the admin team supporting colleagues whenever necessary
We are looking for the successful candidate to:
- Have a professional telephone manner, while being able to convey empathy and sensitivity towards clients
- Ability to prioritise and manage tasks in line with the needs of the business
- Be polite and patient at all times demonstrating excellent communication and listening skills
- An understanding of the importance of working as part of a team, whilst also possessing and ability to use own initiative
- IT literate with strong knowledge of Word and Excel, experience of accounting and case management software would be beneficial but is not essential

- Functional skills in maths and English if required
- 5 Additional day courses with HOET
