What will the apprentice be doing?
As an Apprentice Fleet Welder Fabricator, you will gain first-rate training and mentoring along with hands on experience and practical qualifications to prove it! Throughout the training period you will work toward and achieve the Level 2 General Welder Apprenticeship standard.
About the role:
Within the role, the successful candidate will work within a busy fleet team to learn a varied range of skills in fabrication and welding in the maintenance of Vehicles and Plant with the end goal to becoming a fully skilled mechanic, providing a high quality of workmanship to prescribed industry and manufacturers’ standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and repair turnaround times are met.
You’ll learn practical skills from a mentor on repairing, maintaining, a wide range of vehicles and plant, completing tasks to prescribed standards that will be quality checked and recorded.
You’ll design, manufacture and repair parts of vehicles and plan ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.
Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for a capable and motivated individual who has an interest in vehicle welding and fabricating.
The ideal candidate will hold at least one of the following:
A minimum of 3 GCSE’s at grade C/4 or equivalent
Hold level 1 English and Maths functional skills qualifications and have the ability to study to achieve level 2 upon completion of the apprenticeship
Full Driving Licence (Desirable)
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will gain your Level 2 General Welder Qualification as well as math's and English functional skills if required.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You will offboard this apprenticeship into a Fleet Welder/Fabricator role in our Fleet Team in our Operations Division.
