What will the apprentice be doing?

  • We start at 8.45am, we all aim to get the office ready to open and computers on before 9.00am, most days the morning starts with a quick catch up followed by any pressing business of the day. The rest of the day consists of managing clients requests, following up on claims that have been made, logging new ones.
  • We Broke insurance policies at renewal to ensure the clients get the best for them. We also provide quotes for new clients. As you learn an grow in your role you will get the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of the insurance cycle which can include the exciting new business quotes

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Holmer Road (HR4 9SX). 
 
Level 2 Customer Service.  
You will receive training a training plan that is specific to your qualification, with sessions that are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and remote – Customer service.  
Additional training for functional skills in English and Maths will be undertaken if needed. 
You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your customer service qualification.  
Simpson Drew Ltd will also arrange for completion of the Cert Cii Qualification. 
There is also a five-day team building residential trip that is held in spring of each year.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once your apprenticeship is sucessfully completed progression opportunities will be discussed which will include Account Handler.

Things to consider

We will require you to obtain / have your driving license towards the mid/ end of your apprenticeship in order for growth within the role as you will be required to visit clients at their premises and be flexible with working arrangements.
