What will the apprentice be doing?
Boston & Co are looking to recruit an enthusiastic new team member to work alongside our management team and learn the trade in hospitality front of house. You will learn all aspects of the industry and business including stock taking, dealing with customer care, taking orders, setting up and running events.
Not only will the candidate build extensive front of house skills but you will work closely with the owner to learn every aspect of running a hospitality business. The role will be varied, as you will be working in the onsite café as well as on a number of events such as meetings, weddings, celebrations, firework displays and craft markets. We offer an inclusive environment with a friendly small team.
General duties including:
- Opening and closing the cafe
- Cashing up
- Stock taking
- Taking bookings
- Customer care
- Order taking
- Working on the tills
- Setting up for events
- Supporting the supervisor in managing events
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer.
Day release
You will undertake the Hospitality team member standard.

You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or Maths if needed.
You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge and experience.
