What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Learn and contribute to our production operations - producing and fitting high quality prescription lenses to spectacle frames for our customers who are mainly retail opticians
  • Develop knowledge, skills and an understanding of the optical laboratory industry
  • Develop your problem-solving skills in a technological manufacturing environment

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship will be work based learning with occasional attendance at Wiltshire College and University Centre (campus to be confirmed).

Functional skills maths and/or English if required.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, there may be the opportunity to progress onto Level 3 Spectacle Maker Apprenticeship.
