What will the apprentice be doing?

An ideal position for an outgoing person who enjoys helping people.

We are looking for someone to support our team with customer enquiries. Some of the duties will include:

  • Serving on trade counter   
  • Checking in goods                                                            
  • Getting deliveries up                                                      
  • Keeping stores tidy                                                            
  • Loading delivery van   
  • Stock checking                                                                     
  • Answering phones                                                        
  • Phoning suppliers                                                
  • Using purpose-built computer                                                                                     
  • Keeping office tidy

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Customer Service Practitioner L2.
  • 20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as “Off the Job Training”.
  • On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard. 
  • Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.

Things to consider

INTERVIEW - We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date. Reality Check - You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid.
