What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Preparation of accounts from client’s prime records to a draft stage using accounting software (Digita Accounts Production).
  • Drafting business tax computations and preparing draft CT600s.
  • Bookkeeping for clients using spreadsheets or cloud accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Answering client phone calls / emails and helping with queries.
  • Develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with clients, managers and colleagues.
  • Reception cover when required.
  • Complete timesheets on a weekly basis

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Working towards AAT Level 4 qualification, the candidate will receive training within the workplace, including approximately 30 study days and time off for exams.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression to full-time role.
