What will the apprentice be doing?

• Support the Payroll Officer to ensure all deadlines are met, full training will be provided.

• Supporting the end-to-end monthly in-house Payroll with the payroll officer

• Learning the Payroll and HR System to encourage a good working knowledge of Resourcelink (Payroll
and HR system)

• Processing starters, leavers information, bank changes, set-up court orders and any other monthly
miscellaneous payroll admin.

• Receive training towards all HMRC statutory payments – Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity SPP,
PAYE and National Insurance.

• Administer tax code changes within our Payroll system


• Administer and support in any manual calculations that may be required

• Pension administration, including Auto Enrolment processes are carried out in an accurate and timely manner

• Liaise with employee’s on any queries they may have with their pay

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 Payroll Administrator apprenticeship.


Maths and English Functional Skills if needed.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Possible progression onto further employment within the business and onto further apprenticeships.
